Good hotel but bad loction
- The location was amazing - right in the city center, walking distance from palaces, shopping, and restaurants. - The street right outside the hotel was packed with restaurants serving authentic Korean food. - The hotel room had a huge LCD TV, two desktops with free internet, and was well equipped with everything from a hair straightener to hair spray and slippers. - I could see the Seoul N Tower from my room. - The subway stop was right outside the hotel.
- The hotel was extremely dark, and the hotel staff could not speak or understand English at all. - I was given a dark, dirty, and extremely dusty room. The walls had not been dusted in weeks, and I kept sneezing. The bed sheets and blankets had holes in them, and when I opened the blanket I discovered blood stains on the sheets. The internet was not working, and there were really dirty x-rated images on the hotel desktop. I immediately called reception and asked to change rooms. They gave me a much cleaner, better room with working internet. - The computer and internet is entirely in Korean, and the keyboard had not been cleaned at all. Sanitize before use.
Nice, well decorated and comfortable rooms. Room contained water dispenser, fridge, aircon, pc, large tv as well as other gadgets to convenience your stay. Location is 10 seconds from a subway enterence so very convenient for getting around the city.
Room lacked a wardrobe, although there was plenty of places to drape cloths, this would be a bit of an inconvenience for a long stay if you minded doing a bit of living from your suitcase.
The helpful Hotel staff. Although it was a love hotel.
Being a love hotel and no airport transfer on walking distance.
The hotel is located outside of Jongno 3ga Station, Exit 4. This station is the meeting point of three subway lines, and is ridiculously convenient. Although Nakwon is smelly and seedy (but very safe), it is also located right next to Insadong. The hotel itself provides friendly, straightforward service. The rooms are well-apportioned and stocked daily with soft drinks and coffee. The price is decent for what you get, especially in Seoul; we have paid similar prices for absolute rat holes. If you're looking for a good location and are on a budget, Tomgi is a better choice than most.
The hotel needs to maintain its facilities better. The toilet seat in our room was broken, as were the dvd player and one of the computers. There was a multi-colored light over the bed that would *not* turn off, which was annoying. We used duct tape to cover it. My biggest problem: The Internet went out 30 minutes after we arrived, and, despite our notifying the staff, was completely non-functional during our three nights there. Otherwise, the room was nice and a good value for Seoul.
Location. Booked.net please update the hotel is right infront of Exit 4, Line 5. Rooms are interesting especially if you get the Deluxe double room with Jaguzzi
The location, it is next to the Metro Line 3 exit no. 4. Convenient for food and sightseeing too.
The Hotel advertised the Superior Double Room room space is 20m square and the Deluxe Duble room is 40m square but I was told by the hotel staff when we were there few days ago that the rooms size are the same for both categories. I am annoyed by that because we paid more for the Deluxe Double Room. We are going back tomorrow to stay in the same hotel and will see if what the staff said is true. If it is true, then Booked.net should clarify this issue with the hotel. The other thing that is really annoying is the power points are located at the bottom of the computer desk, it is not easy for access.
you were left alone and not bothered by staff all the time
there was no laundry facilities
People was really kindess. The room is very clean and comfortable. Location is perfect who want to arrive by the train.
Each floor had a completely different design, quite artistic. And the bathroom was so convenient I could spend the whole 3 days in it. Location is satisfactory for downtown dwellers. Staff are kind and very polite.
Staff need some English language command
The staff was kind and polite. For us the location was good with subway stations nearby. The room was clean. Computer & TV equipment was excellent.
For this price I would have expected a bit more comfortable room - for example the sink was in the room and not in the bathroom, and the window was tiny. The staff spoke very little English...
The location was great, just right outside Jongno 3-ga Station which has 3 lines running though it and just a 5 min walk from Insadong and about 10 min walk to Cheonggyecheon Stream. The location was great and also just a few stops to Cheongnyangi Station where you can take short trips out of Seoul (I.e Garden of the Morning Calm and Nami Island). By far the location is the best part of the hotel but the rooms were very cozy and clean with plenty of space. There was even both a shower and a tub. The toast and coffee as well as the free popcorn was also a nice perk.
Shapmpoo, conditioner and body was was a bit watered down.
